Carson City

Hidden Valley
Hidden Valley sprang up around the original and private Hidden Valley Country Club and spread from there. Homes were built on the hills above the golf course. The area is separated from the rest of the city by the public Rosewood Lakes Golf Course. Hidden Valley Regional Park has quite a few miles of mixed-use hiking and biking trails, with views of the city. Rosewood Lakes Golf Course offers plenty of green space and offers a nice buffer from the hustle and bustle of Reno. Mira Loma Park is geared toward kids and families.
Midtown
Midtown/Downtown Reno are growing and changing on a regular basis. With the hotels along Virginia Street and the funky vibe along the Truckee River, there’s something for everyone, from long-time Reno residents to University students. There are lots of hip restaurants, shops, and a movie theater situated on the River. Wingfield Park sits on the edge of the Truckee and is home to concerts and other fun, family-friendly activities throughout the year. Living in or near downtown Reno is ideal for young people just starting out, being a stone’s throw from work or school.
Northwest Reno
Northwest Reno is all about family living. Resting on the northwest foothills above downtown, you can look forward to an eagle’s eye view of the Truckee Meadows. The feel is more mellow than downtown, but you’re only, at most, a 10 minute drive away from the hustle and bustle. South Meadows

Southwest Reno
Reno’s Old Southwest neighborhood is rustic. Vintage. Historic. Americana. The Old Southwest mainly consists of homes, but there are some apartments sprinkled in there. The neighborhood is rich with families. You’ll often see kids playing in the front yard and parents chatting with neighbors. With large, old trees and wide sidewalks, this is the best neighborhood in town to take a nice, long stroll in – especially in the fall when the trees change colors.
Spanish Springs
Spanish Springs is on the outskirts of the Reno/Sparks area. This area is perfect for people who want to live in the country but yet be close to a city. Spanish Springs has access to multiple off road recreation areas and is also a short distance from Pyramid Lake which is ideal for fishing and boating.
Sparks
With only 90,000 people, Sparks is the perfect area to raise a family or enjoy the peacefulness of Northern Nevada during your retirement years. Sparks is nestled between mountain ranges at nearly 4,500 feet of elevation. Living in Sparks allows you to experience all four seasons, with the weather being relatively mild and calm during fall, spring, and summer. People who move to Sparks do so for the quality of life — Reno is close by, but Sparks feels more secluded and comfortable for most people.
Wingfield Springs
Red Hawk golf and country club is located in Wingfield Springs in the Spanish Springs Valley. This area of town is currently going through major renovations including some of the best shopping and lot’s of new dining options.
